The Reds face their Premier League opponents in the FA Cup quarter-finals at Old Trafford on Sunday, their final game before the international break. Ten Hag’s men will be hoping to return to Wembley this season, as the semi-finals and final of the championship will be held at the national stadium.

United advanced to the Europa League quarter-finals with a 5-1 aggregate victory against La Liga side Real Betis and will meet fellow Spanish club Sevilla in the last eight. They were missing offensive combo Martial and Antony for the trip to Spain, with the Brazilian ace out due to illness and the French striker unable to play despite returning to training.

During his pre-Fulham press conference on Friday, Ten Hag was asked about the two absentees. He said they are doubts about the weekend match.

“So we have to talk about [that], and I believe Anthony Martial will not be available, and Antony dos Santos, we’ll see how he progresses,” Ten Hag stated.

Although the Reds will be without Casemiro due to suspension, Ten Hag has been buoyed by the return of loanee Marcel Sabitzer, who returned after a brief layoff on Thursday.

Ten Hag went on to say: “We performed admirably without Casemiro against Arsenal and twice against Leeds. I believe we fared okay without Casemiro at the start of the season as well, but I want Casemiro to be available because he has a significant impact on our game.”

The Reds will also be without Alejandro Garnacho, Donny van de Beek, and Christian Eriksen, who are all injured.
