David De Gea Bids Farewell to Manchester United in Emotional Message
David De Gea has shared a heartfelt farewell message with the Manchester United supporters, marking the end of his legendary career with the Reds.
Arriving in Manchester from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2011, David dedicated 12 years to honing his craft as one of the greatest goalkeepers in the history of the club.
As he departs Old Trafford today, he leaves behind a legacy of 545 appearances, 190 clean sheets, and a treasure trove of personal achievements, records, and trophies.
In an emotional post on his official Twitter account, David addressed the supporters with deep gratitude:
“It is with a heavy heart that I bid farewell to all the Manchester United supporters.
“I want to convey my profound gratitude and appreciation for the love you’ve shown over the past 12 years.
“We’ve accomplished so much since the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson brought me to this club and granted me the privilege of wearing this badge.
“Every time I wore this shirt, I felt an incredible sense of pride. To lead the team and to represent this institution, the world’s greatest club, was an honor bestowed upon only a few fortunate footballers.
“Since my arrival, it has been an unforgettable and successful journey. I could never have imagined, as a young boy leaving Madrid, that we would achieve what we did together.
“Now, the time has come for a new challenge, a chance to push my limits once more in different surroundings, embracing new beginnings.
“Manchester has shaped me and will forever remain a part of me. This club, Old Trafford, and our incredible supporters will eternally reside in my heart.
“We’ve experienced it all.”
