The 16-year-old is being followed by a number of European teams after breaking through in his homeland with Palmeiras.

Endrick has yet to make his competitive debut for the Brazilian team, but has scored six goals in seven games for the Copinha 2022 U-20 team.

The teenager has also scored five goals and provided one assist in four appearances for the Brazilian U-17 side, and signed his first professional contract with Palmeiras earlier this year.

Endrick is tied to his parent club until the summer of 2025, but that should not deter interested parties from trying to secure his services over the next two years.

According to Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola, via The Sun, Manchester United are among the European clubs closely monitoring Endrick’s development.

The report adds that Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United have joined the Red Devils in the race for the striker, with all three teams preparing offers.

Endrick has a £35m release clause in his current contract with Palmeiras, but Premier League sides are reportedly on the defensive in the race.

Nicola adds that Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are well placed to compete for the services of the Brazilian Under-17 international, with the Ligue 1 champions leading the way.

An intense battle between the two sides over personal terms looks set to begin in the near future as teams look to lure the Brazilian midfielder away from the club where he scored an impressive 165 goals at youth level.

Endrick gave an interview to Marca earlier this year in which he confirmed his desire to play for top teams such as Barcelona and Real Madrid.

“I try not to think about the future, but about the present. I dream, of course, of playing in Europe, with the Brazilian national team and winning trophies,” Endrick said.

“I have a lot of love for Real Madrid because of Cristiano [Ronaldo], but I also studied their history and they are a very good team.

“It is very rewarding for me to know that they are watching me and my games. I am very grateful to God for that. I have to do more, it’s still not enough, I have to give more. I still have a long way to go.

“It’s a very good team too, spectacular, with incredible players, some of whom have left now, like [Lionel] Messi, Xavi [Hernandez] and [Andres] Iniesta. It’s good that one of the best clubs in the world is following me as a player and as a person. I am very grateful to God for that.
