Man Utd target Casemiro has a message for Man Utd fans – ‘change of heart’ and reaches decision after transfer meeting

According to sources, Manchester United target, Casemiro has decided to pursue a move to the Red Devils in the coming days after speaking with Real Madrid officials about the potential switch. United are thought to have increased their pursuit of Casemiro after failing to recruit Adrien Rabiot, who was recently in talks with the club but is unlikely to join Erik ten Hag’s side due to his expensive wage demands.

Casemiro has since emerged as a key target for United, who have been urgently trying to sign a new first-choice holding midfielder during the summer transfer window but have been unable thus far.

According to El Chiringuito, the Brazilian playmaker has finally decided that he wants to transfer to Old Trafford, with a formal agreement between all sides believed to be closer than ever.

Meanwhile, ESPN reports that Casemiro recently met with Real Madrid’s leadership to discuss the prospect of a move to United and that additional discussions with Carlo Ancelotti have been set as a matter of urgency.

The player was initially hesitant to join Ten Hag and his squad in Manchester, but is believed to have warmed to the idea in recent days due to the pay on offer and is now ready to join United after receiving an initial bid from the club earlier this week.

United are reportedly offering to quadruple Casemiro’s current wage to lure him away from Real Madrid, with those in charge at Old Trafford aiming to have him registered in time for Monday’s crucial Premier League match against arch-rivals Liverpool.

However, a contract has yet to be reached at the club level with Real Madrid, implying that further work will be required in order for United to rubber-stamp the move as soon as feasible.

Casemiro’s arrival would undoubtedly alleviate one of Ten Hag’s many concerns this season, with the Dutchman eager to buy a new midfielder since taking over at United earlier this summer. United had failed to sign Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona before pulling out of a deal for Rabiot earlier this month due to the Frenchman’s high salary demands.

The Red Devils are also said to be interested in Brighton playmaker Moises Caicedo, who was arguably the finest player on the pitch when the Seagulls won 3-0 at Old Trafford on the first day of the new Premier League season. However, it appears that Casemiro has emerged as the preferred candidate, and it remains to be seen whether a comprehensive agreement can be reached in the near future.

Ancelotti’s fondness for the player, on the other hand, could jeopardize United’s chances of acquiring him in the coming days. The Real Madrid manager earlier stated that Casemiro is a one-of-a-kind talent who would be tough to replace, implying that he may try to stymie United’s plans despite the midfielder’s desire to join them before next month’s transfer deadline.

“If we look [on the market] for a Casemiro copy, we’ll make a mistake,” Ancelotti told reporters earlier this year.

“He is the only one in the world of football. Other players, though, can serve as a pivot. [Eduardo] Camavinga, who has other qualities, played there. He’s a good ball carrier, but he lacks Casemiro’s tactical acumen; I’ve never had a pivot like him.”
