Last season, the 21-year-old was on loan from Everton, joining up with Manchester United icon Ruud van Nisterooy at PSV Eindhoven. Jose Mourinho took notice of him after some outstanding performances.

According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Jose Mourinho’s Roma, all sent scouts to observe Branthwaite in action for PSV after the Dutch club had a £15 million deal rejected in January due to his remarkable play.

Nothing happened for any of the three clubs after that. However, United may be interested in him again in order to strengthen their defense.

United are interested in Everton midfielder Jarrad Branthwaite.

According to the Daily Mail, United Verton’s left-sided center-back Jarrad Branthwaite, who pleased scouts while on loan last season, is a surprise name being circulated around the United camp as a possible acquisition.

Along with him, Nice’s much-improved defender Jean-Clair Todibo has re-entered the picture. Axel Disasi is no longer in the picture after agreeing to join Chelsea.

Branthwaite is an intriguing character who comes entirely out of left field. The center-half is physically imposing, towering tall at 6ft 5 – something the United side desperately needs.
