Palmeiras manager Abel Ferreira has slammed Erik ten Hag for stating that Manchester United’s fixture schedule played a role in Marcus Rashford’s injury against Everton over the weekend. The in-form Red Devils striker limped off in the dying minutes of his team’s two-goal victory at Old Trafford, leaving United’s medical staff concerned about his condition ahead of this week’s Europa League quarter-final clash with Sevilla.

‘Dream’ of a star after ‘inconvenience’

As Boehly makes his decision, Chelsea star Felix ‘has not stopped boasting.’
Ten Hag expressed his dissatisfaction with United being scheduled for the early kick-off despite having played Brentford just three days earlier, claiming that the intensity of the club’s fixture schedule may have played a role in shaping Rashford’s latest setback against Everton.

“It’s too much, especially after playing last Sunday night and then the first game on Saturday,” Ten Hag added. “You have to make the game against Brentford in the week instead of the Carabao Cup.” So you get punished for making it to the final, which is not acceptable.

The term “responsibility” refers to the act of determining whether or not a person is responsible for his or her own actions. Players are unable to recover, and there is a risk of injury. You must be aware of this. Even when you speak to Rashford, you can’t explain [just what happened]. We’ll have to wait until tomorrow or the day after tomorrow to find out what the diagnosis is.”

Rashford is the latest United player to sustain a potentially serious injury, with Christian Eriksen, Anthony Martial, and Alejandro Garnacho also suffering setbacks in the second half of the season. Palmeiras manager Ferreira has now chastised Ten Hag for moaning about the fixture calendar, claiming that his team’s plight is significantly worse than United’s.

“There are fantastic things about football here, but there are others that are inhuman,” Ferreira is quoted as saying by ESPN Brasil. “[We have] nine games in one month!” Rashford was hurt owing to the run of games, according to Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho.

“I’d like to ask him or tell him, ‘I’m going to have nine games a month for the next two months.'” “Shut up, because you have no idea what you’re saying.”

It remains to be seen whether Rashford will be declared ready to play in Thursday’s Europa League last-eight clash with Sevilla, as United look to add to their recent Carabao Cup success. He will undoubtedly be missed by the Red Devils if he is absent for an extended period of time after spearheading their forward charge with 28 goals in all competitions since the start of the season.
