United are preparing to lose the World Cup winner for the second time on a free transfer, a decade after his first move to the Italian giants. Before the 2016/2017 season, Pogba spent four years in Turin before returning to Old Trafford in a near-£90 million deal.

In each of his four seasons with the Old Lady, he won the Serie A title. However, in his second season at United, Pogba has struggled to win titles.

In 2017, the 29-year-old was a member of Jose Mourinho’s Carabao Cup and Europa League winning club. United, on the other hand, has not won any silverware since losing in the last 16 of the Champions League to Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night.

In the game, Pogba was summoned from the bench. According to journalist Rudy Galetti, talks between the Italian side and Pogba have proceeded, with both parties hoping to finalize a deal for the Frenchman by April.

United is said to have started the first moves toward signing Aurelien Tchouameni. The highly-rated France international is one of several players linked to Old Trafford as senior officials in the boardroom prepare to concentrate central midfield additions in the summer transfer season, according to Spanish daily Marca.

Declan Rice, according to the Manchester Evening News, is still the number one target. However, his current club, West Ham United, is anticipated to fight tooth and nail for a transfer fee.

According to Marca, Tchouameni will face competition from Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Juventus. According to reports, the player himself prefers a move to the Premier League.
