10 OUT – Brighton injury news for Man United clash as ten ruled out and four doubtful

Brighton and Hove Albion are set to resume their Premier League campaign as they face Manchester United this Saturday at 3 pm.

The Seagulls have enjoyed a promising start to the season, currently sitting in sixth place in the Premier League. They have secured three wins and suffered only one loss in their first four matches. Their recent victory over Newcastle, where teenage striker Evan Ferguson scored a hat-trick, has boosted their confidence.

In contrast, Manchester United has had a sluggish beginning to the new season, occupying the 11th spot with two wins and two losses in their opening four fixtures. Their last match saw them lose 3-1 to Arsenal, with goals from Martin Odegaard, Declan Rice, and Gabriel Jesus.

Off the pitch, United has faced troubles as well, with Antony being granted a leave of absence to address allegations of abuse towards women. Additionally, Jadon Sancho is unlikely to feature following a public disagreement with United boss Erik ten Hag.

Roberto De Zerbi’s Brighton, however, has some injury concerns ahead of their trip to Manchester.

Here’s an overview of Brighton’s player availability:

Julio Enciso: Out – The Paraguayan playmaker, who started the season well, sustained a knee injury after an outstanding performance against Wolves. He is expected to be sidelined for four months.

Jakub Moder: Out – The midfielder has been absent for over a year due to a serious ACL injury. Despite hopes of being fit for the start of the season, there is still no sign of the Poland international’s return.

Evan Ferguson: Doubt – The 18-year-old striker scored a hat-trick against Newcastle before the international break but had to withdraw from the Ireland squad due to a knee issue. His availability for the upcoming match will be assessed, although he was not seen in training earlier this week.

Danny Welbeck: Doubt – The experienced forward missed the previous match against Newcastle due to a ‘minor issue.’ Welbeck is eager to feature against his former club and was seen training with the group earlier this week.

Carlos Baleba: Doubt – The £25 million midfielder, signed late in the transfer window from Lille, was not included in the squad to face Newcastle. The 19-year-old has had the international break to adapt and build up his fitness, making him a potential candidate for the Old Trafford clash.

Ansu Fati: Doubt – The Barcelona loanee, also a late arrival in the transfer window, has had an opportunity to improve his fitness over the past week. While De Zerbi stated that the 20-year-old was not ready to face Newcastle, he could make his highly anticipated debut against Manchester United.
