Manchester United supporters are growing impatient as the Glazers have yet to make any signings at Old Trafford. And it appears that three players want to join the club, putting them in the spotlight. Since the transfer market reopened, there has been a lot of interest in players like Frenkie de Jong, Pau Torres, and Jurrien Timber.

Manchester United requires a complete revamp this summer.

They’ve already let some players go on free transfers, including Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Edinson Cavani, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, and Lee Grant.

The onus is now on the Glazers to deliver some signings.

Only recently, in a rare public exchange of words, Avram Glazer asserted that they’ve always spent the money and will do so again this summer.

While Tottenham has signed two players, Arsenal has signed Marquinhos, and Manchester City and Liverpool have signed Erling Haaland and Darwin Nunez, respectively, United has yet to act.

The strain on the Glazers appears to be building as the days pass.

Especially given that three players appear to be set to move to Old Trafford.

First and foremost, there’s Timber.

Erik ten Hag has been eager to reunite with a player he helped nurture at Ajax in recent years for weeks.

When the Dutch side sold Matthijs de Ligt to Juventus during the 2019 summer transfer window, it left a significant hole.

Timber, on the other hand, has been a revelation in the time afterward, establishing himself as one of the best young defenders in the world.

The Netherlands international, according to Fabrizio Romano, is interested in joining Manchester United this summer.

“Timber is waiting for #MUFC to update him on the situation with Ajax,” he told The United Stand.

Romano also revealed that Torres was interested in joining United.

“Both [Pau Torres and Timber] would be delighted to join,” he told the broadcaster.

“I envision Pau Torres playing in the Premier League next season because he wants to move and has good possibilities to transfer,” he continued.

Torres was on United’s radar a year ago.

He thrived as Villarreal won the Europa League, putting up a strong performance against Manchester United in the final.

While Tottenham have been mentioned as prospective suitors for the Spain international, it appears he prefers a move to Manchester United.

Along with Timber and Torres, it appears De Jong is also considering a big move to Old Trafford.

When the 25-year-old left Ajax for Barcelona three years ago, big things were expected of him.

However, under managers like as Ernesto Valverde, Quique Setien, Ronald Koeman, and Xavi, he has frequently struggled for consistency.

De Jong was initially hesitant to join United, especially given the lack of Champions League football on offer.

But he’s changed his mind after meeting with Ten Hag and becoming increasingly aware of Barcelona’s intention to sell.

United and Barcelona are now negotiating a fee, with the Red Devils cognizant of Barcelona’s financial situation.

But now that they’ve won De Jong over, United just need to close the deal.

In reality, the Glazers must approve all three signings.

Torres, Timber, and De Jong may not be enough to win the Premier League crown just yet, but it would be a significant step forward.

With the Glazers in the spotlight, they must act faster than ever.

Because if they don’t, the prevailing gloom and doom atmosphere at Old Trafford will only worsen.
