Manchester United has threatened to pull out of talks to sign Frenkie de Jong if Barcelona does not lower their asking price for the player (h/t Miguel Sanz Sport).
For the transaction, the Blaugrana are seeking €100 million in fixed and add-on fees. Man United, on the other hand, will not spend more than €80 million.
As a result, both sides are at a standstill as the story unfolds.
Who will give in to whom is the question. Barcelona requires funds, while Manchester United requires a player.
