According to RMC Sport, Manchester United is preparing to make an offer for Monaco right-back Vanderson during the summer transfer window.

Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are the Red Devils’ current right-back options, and both have performed admirably this season.

However, there is still suspicion that the club may strengthen the department, and RMC Sport claims that United is on the lookout for Vanderson.

United were interested in the 21-year-old last summer and wants to renew their pursuit when the transfer window reopens in a few months.

Vanderson is widely anticipated to depart Monaco if the club fails to qualify for the Champions League, and United is prepared to ‘position themselves’ to capture his services.

Will Vanderson join Manchester United this summer?
Vanderson has had a successful season with the Principality. From right-back, he has contributed one goal and four assists in 34 games this season.

Defensively, he has also been impressive, averaging 2.7 tackles and 4.9 duels won per game, but he would not be an upgrade over Wan-Bissaka next season in our opinion.

The Brazilian has a lot of promise, but he has been guilty of losing possession 13.4 times on average, with a pass accuracy of only 79%.

In comparison, Aaron Wan-Bissaka has an 83 percent pass completion percentage this season, losing possession nine times per Premier League appearance.

With Diogo Dalot about to sign a new contract, Wan-Bissaka is the player most likely to be moved in exchange for a new right-back. We’d rather keep him than sign Vanderson.
