Throughout his career, the 28-year-old has openly praised one of his footballing heroes, even requesting the superstar’s shirt when his Tottenham Hotspur team faced Real Madrid in the Champions League.

United are considering up whether to sign Kane in the summer window, with fierce rivals Manchester City anticipated to place a higher priority on Erling Haaland, according to Mirror Football.

And a move to Old Trafford might see the England captain team up with Cristiano Ronaldo, whom he described as a “huge role model” after Tottenham’s heartfelt 1-1 draw with Real Madrid in 2017.

Kane claimed after the match, “I begged for his shirt.” “I grew up watching him and he was a great role model for me.

“It’s a beautiful shirt to purchase and display. I handed over my shirt to him. I’m not sure what he intends to do with it. We simply said, “See you in a few weeks.””

Kane, who has established himself as one of the top No.9s in the world with the likes of Ronaldo, has underlined his aim to emulate the five-time Ballon d’Or winner almost four years later.

“I still have a lot more to give. I’m capable of delivering higher numbers than I am right now “In 2021, the Tottenham Hotspur player stated on Gary Neville’s Sky Sports podcast, The Overlap.

“‘I want to be the best,’ I don’t hesitate to proclaim. I want to reach the same level as Ronaldo and [Lionel] Messi. That is my ultimate goal: to win trophies year in and year out, scoring 50, 60, 70 goals on a consistent basis.

“The strain I put on myself is always greater than the pressure others can place on me.”

And it was just a few days ago that Kane and Ronaldo met on the pitch for the second time this season, with the latter coming out on top for the second time this season by scoring a magnificent hat-trick at Old Trafford.

However, the three-time Premier League Golden Boot winner did score a penalty in the first half, briefly tying the game.

Ralf Rangnick, the Red Devils’ interim manager, has even stated that his team should be looking for a striker this summer, a search that he will almost certainly be involved in once he begins his consultant post at Old Trafford at the end of the season.

When asked if United will want to sign a center forward in the near future, Rangnick told reporters, “This is evident.”

“Edison [Cavanicontract ]’s expires in the summer, and the team wants the best center forward it can find. This is a no-brainer. That is something I believe everyone is aware of.”

Given the chance to play alongside Ronaldo, Kane’s answer may be self-evident as well.
