Former Manchester United teenager Michael Keane scored a remarkable 90th-minute equalizer, canceling out Harry Kane’s earlier penalty, to give the Toffees a share of the spoils, meaning Spurs failed to begin the post-Antonio Conte era with a win. A point, on the other hand, was enough to lift them above the Reds in the standings and into fourth place on goal difference.

United, of course, fell to Newcastle United 2-0 at St James’ Park on Sunday afternoon, losing third place. This lifted the Magpies over Erik Ten Hag’s side and into third place, implying that United was the biggest loser in the fight for a top-four finish during the weekend.

Newcastle, Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester United, on the other hand, are currently all tied on 50 points, suggesting that the race for a top-four finish might be a gripping one until the last whistle in late May. It is worth noting, though, that Spurs have played two more games than both United and Newcastle at this point.

As a result, between now and the end of the season, the race for a top-four finish is expected to undergo multiple twists and turns. Having said that, MEN Sport has compared United’s 11 remaining matchups to those of Newcastle and Tottenham.
