Not Osimhen or Kane – ‘One job this summer’ – Manchester United fans think they have found their perfect striker

After scoring another wondergoal on Sunday, Manchester United fans have picked Napoli striker Victor Osimhen as the club’s ideal striker target this summer.

Osimhen has had another outstanding season in Serie A, scoring a spectacular goal to put his team ahead of Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma. Receiving the ball from the left flank, the 24-year-old managed to first control it with his chest, then flip it up with his right knee before volleying into the roof of Rui Patricio’s net.

The goal was his 15th in 20 games for Napoli and was the difference between the two teams at halftime. For United supporters, it was more than enough proof that the Reds should spend big this summer to recruit the Nigerian.

United has been looking for a center-forward since Cristiano Ronaldo departed the club in November. Erik ten Hag was constrained to bringing in a loan option to fill the gap left by the Portuguese ace due to the Reds having spent heavily in the summer of 2022.

Wout Weghorst of Burnley has signed on loan until the end of the season, although there is no certainty that the loan will be extended. According to MEN Sport, Osimhen and Harry Kane are both on the Reds’ radar for the summer, with the striker position visibly lacking at the moment.
