DUSAN VLAHOVIC REQUIRED IN OLD TRAFFORD
According to reports, Manchester United are preparing for a transfer war with Arsenal after securing the signing of Dusan Vlahovic as a second striker.

Erik ten Hag has already bolstered his forward ranks this month with the addition of Wout Weghorst. He has returned to Manchester United on loan from Besiktas until the end of the season.

Weghorst, who will wear the number 27 shirt, will provide Ten Hag with a different option from the bench when Man United’s style of play needs to be changed.

Weghorst, however, is not a long-term striker solution for Manchester United because he is 30 years old and is only on loan. As a result, they must look for younger, more lethal attackers to fill Cristiano Ronaldo’s void.

According to The Faithful MUFC, who cite Italian reports, Ten Hag has settled on Juventus’ Vlahovic as his ideal January striker arrival.

Last season, he scored 29 goals in all competitions for Fiorentina and Juventus combined. Arsenal had hoped to sign him in January 2022, but Juventus beat them to it.

Vlahovic had a strong start to the season, scoring seven goals in 15 games. He is currently recovering from an injury, but speculation about his next move is heating up.

Arsenal is expected to make a £71 million bid for him. However, according to the latest reports, Manchester United will also push to complete a deal with Juventus. As a result, the two Premier League titans appear ready to compete for the Serbian.

Arsenal’s transfer battle is sparked by Manchester United’s interest.
Man United are considering a substantial offer to sign Vlahovic, dealing a major blow to Arsenal. They are ‘determined’ to sign him and will hence pay his £80 million asking price.

Juve would make a big profit on Vlahovic if he moved for this amount. They paid roughly £67 million to transport him to Turin a year ago.

Juve wants to keep Vlahovic for the rest of the season. They feel he will continue to have a significant influence after he recovers from his groin injury.

Darko Ristic, Vlahovic’s agent, is taking a different approach. He appears to be interested in all of the proposals. Ristic understands that there is a fantastic opportunity for his client to become a Manchester United icon and replace Ronaldo at the Theatre of Dreams.

If both Manchester United and Arsenal come calling this month, Vlahovic will have to make a difficult decision. Manchester United are on a roll, having won their past nine games in all competitions. They might compete for the Premier League title while also winning a trophy in another competition.

Arsenal, on the other hand, are an equally appealing option right now. Mikel Arteta has got his team firing on all cylinders and they are in a good position to win their first Prem title since 2003-04.

As both clubs can offer Vlahovic potential success, his choice may come down to money. And while Ten Hag has set a wage cap at Man Utd of £300,000 a week, the Red Devils still have enough money to pay Vlahovic a better salary than Arsenal.
