As they prepare to resume their top-flight campaign, United coach Erik ten Hag has delivered some good news on the injury front.

Speaking to MUTV via the club’s official website, ten Hag confirmed that Raphael Varane, Sergio Reguilon, and Sofyan Amrabat are back in training following their respective injuries.

The only setback has been with Casemiro, who suffered an injury while on international duty with Brazil.

Ten Hag expressed his thoughts, saying, “Rapha Varane is back, so I think, especially in the backline, I’m very happy with Rapha back and Sergio back. That’s very good news, of course. It’s disappointing that Casemiro picked up an injury, but it’s not too bad.

I’m sure and confident he will be back for the next games, so very short notice. The good thing is also that Sofyan Amrabat is available.”

This triple injury boost comes after Manchester United secured a remarkable 2-1 victory over Brentford just before the international break, with Scott McTominay scoring two dramatic stoppage-time goals.

While the comeback win was impressive, the club still trails by five points in the race for Champions League qualification. Having Varane, Reguilon, and Amrabat back in action will undoubtedly strengthen the team.

Raphael Varane is a certain starter in central defense, and with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia sidelined, Reguilon is expected to fill in at left-back.

The return of these two players should bolster United’s defense. Amrabat, who had been nursing an injury during his time with the Moroccan national team, is now fully recovered and ready to contribute from the no. 6 role, especially with Casemiro unavailable due to injury.
