Not Captain America – Erik ten Hag urged to sell these four Man Utd stars and complete 100m rated Chelsea supper star

During the January transfer window, Chelsea finalized the loan acquisition of Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid until the end of the season after the Portuguese forward wanted out of Diego Simeone's club.

This summer, a permanent contract will be signed. After enjoying his loan stay at Stamford Bridge despite the Blues’ terrible form, the Portuguese forward looks likely to try to force his way out of Atletico Madrid ahead of next season.

Felix has only scored two goals in 12 games for Chelsea since his January arrival, but his overall performance has been remarkable. The 23-year-old will return to Atletico Madrid in the summer, but he is anticipated to try to force another move away from Spain, with Chelsea seeking to secure a permanent contract.

United are looking for a new center-forward after Cristiano Ronaldo left the club before the World Cup, and his Portuguese compatriot may be the man. At Old Trafford, Erik ten Hag has a variety of underperforming strikers, including Anthony Martial, Wout Weghorst, Jadon Sancho, and Antony.

Felix may prioritize a transfer to Stamford Bridge after an impressive loan spell in the second half of the 2022/23 season, but there are some factors to consider before making the move permanent. A new permanent manager has yet to be named, with Frank Lampard serving as caretaker manager until the end of the season.

A new manager may not wish to sign Felix at all, which means that other clubs may be able to sign him. Another factor that may prevent Chelsea from signing the Portugal international is the impending arrival of RB Leipzig’s Christopher Nkunku.

According to football.london, Nkunku has signed a pre-contract deal with the Blues after passing all medical exams ahead of his arrival this summer. Todd Boehly may be able to avoid paying a large fee for Felix, which Atleti is likely to want given his contract position with the La Liga club.

Former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor has pushed Ten Hag to sign Felix before Chelsea this summer and offload four underperforming players. “I really like what he’s [Felix] done so far,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider.

“At Chelsea, I saw a different side to him.” He was playing too deep at Atletico and wasn’t suited to their style of play.

“At Chelsea, you see him getting on the ball and twisting past players – he also has some pace.” I like him, but he needs to be more clinical.

“I don’t see why Manchester United couldn’t get him.” If they are to compete in the Champions League next season, they must have options.

“Martial and Weghorst aren’t good enough; get rid of them.” Rashford is their only threat because Antony and Sancho haven’t performed well.

“They need assistance or they will have an embarrassing time in the Champions League.” Felix, in my opinion, would be a wonderful signing for them.”
