Done Deal – Man Utd complete second striker signing with deal agreed for Chelsea target, but key rule prevents immediate arrival

Manchester United has signed a second striker in the January transfer window, after reaching an agreement with Cardiff City for a Welsh hotshot.

Manchester United terminated Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract in November, prompting the club to hunt for a winter replacement. Erik ten Hag got his man on January 13 when Wout Weghorst arrived on loan from Burnley.

The Dutchman has now scored one goal in four Man United outings. He is just on loan at Old Trafford, but he has already expressed a desire to join the Red Devils on a permanent basis if his loan stay goes well.

Man United are still hunting for a world-class striker to head their forward line next season, and they are willing to pay well over £100 million for a Serie A goalscorer.

Meanwhile, Ten Hag’s team has agreed to a far lower fee for Cardiff centre-forward Gabriele Biancheri.

Man United are due to announce the 16-year-signing old’s on a scholar deal, according to the Daily Mail. This follows his completion of a medical in Manchester over the weekend.

However, Cardiff will profit from having Biancheri on their team until September. Due to his age, the youthful striker will be unable to join Manchester United until he reaches 17 later this year.

Man United signed the Wales U17 international after Chelsea inquired about him last summer. The Blues finally chose not to bring him in, but they may now come to regret that decision.

Manchester United is set to sign an in-form teenager.
He has been in excellent form this season, with 17 goals and five assists. Biancheri has a lot of talent and could end up breaking into the senior Manchester United squad in a few years.

The signing of Biancheri by the Manchester giants demonstrates that Ten Hag is not only concerned with current success, but also with the club’s long-term prospects.

The Dutchman has already taken charge of Manchester United’s U21 team in an attempt to facilitate the transition from youth to senior football.

Furthermore, he has put his faith in young players such as Alejandro Garnacho, Facundo Pellistri, and Kobbie Mainoo this season. Biancheri is well aware of this and will be hoping to impress Ten Hag in the future in order to gain first-team opportunities.

The article did not specify how much Man United paid for Biancheri. However, given the Bluebirds’ investment in him, they will very certainly have to compensate Cardiff.
