Rio Ferdinand, a Manchester United legend, has offered two questions to the club’s possible new owner. After hearing that the Qatari’s offer had been approved, the ex-Red Devils defender wants to know what changes Sheikh Jassim will want to make at Old Trafford.
On Thursday, Ferdinand delivered an important update on United’s takeover drama. He claimed to have been informed that the Glazers had ultimately accepted Sheikh Jassim’s bid.
After months of speculation, a resolution may be on the horizon. Ferdinand was overjoyed with the news he shared with subscribers of his YouTube channel Rio Ferdinand Presents Five.
He was, however, ready to ask Sheikh Jassim a handful of questions. He inquired whether the Qatari would like to make rapid changes to the club’s hierarchy beneath the ownership.
Or he wonders if Sheikh Jassim will give the current setup some time before making any adjustments. “A big question for me is what they’re going to do behind the scenes,” Ferdinand stated.
“Is it just the takeover and that’s it for the foreseeable future, with everything else remaining the same?” Or will there be a thorough makeover behind the scenes?
“Of course, the coach [Erik ten Hag] will stay because he’s done a fantastic job, but that’s because it’s being seen.” There’s something going on behind the scenes, and individuals are putting in a lot of effort at the club.
