Sheikh Jassim has recently been in a bidding war with British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe of the Ineos company, with both parties attempting to seize control of Manchester United.

The present owners, the Glazer family, have been soliciting bids for the club, with whom they have a troubled relationship.

With the summer transfer market officially open in England, it will be critical for Manchester United to receive clarity on their ownership status as quickly as possible.

According to the most recent Reuters update, Sheikh Jassim has now taken the lead, so much so that Manchester United is now negotiating exclusivity with his consortium.

In other words, if the Qatari investors were granted exclusivity, Manchester United would be unable to deal with other parties such as Ratcliffe.

However, if Ratcliffe makes a fresh bid before that time, the exclusivity agreement may be jeopardized.

According to the story, the Glazers are more interested in Sheikh Jassim’s bid than Ratcliffe’s.

It would allow them to entirely cash out on the club, although the Ratcliffe bid could still include some Glazer involvement.

Man United takeover worth $6 billion
According to reports, Sheikh Jassim’s ownership of Manchester United might be around $6 billion.

Because of his wealth, it would immediately spark conjecture about how Manchester United could spend largely in the summer transfer season.

Last season, they finished third in the Premier League under Erik ten Hag, who led them back into the Champions League for the first time since joining from Ajax.

Another possible indicator that a deal is imminent for Sheikh Jassim is the incorporation of his Nine Two Holdings company as a UK company on Companies House.

It does not necessarily imply that he will win the race to finalize the Manchester United takeover, but it would be part of the protocol to ensure that all the formalities are in place if the Glazers chose their bid.
