Boost for Manchester United as star returns to training ahead of Southampton clash
Alex Telles has returned to first-team training ahead of Manchester United’s Premier League encounter with Southampton.
Telles and fellow Brazilian Fred were both missing from the trip to Turf Moor after testing positive for COVID-19 following their return from international duty.

The left-back also missed the FA Cup penalty shootout loss against Middlesbrough.
Telles, on the other hand, has returned to Carrington for training, according to images shared on social media today.
To give fans a lift before the game, Paul Pogba released a picture of the pair on Instagram.
“Ayyye irmao [brother],” he captioned his image.
There’s also a photo of Telles training on the grass, which can be seen below:
This helps United because it provides Ralf Rangnick additional alternatives.
Telles has seen a lot of action under Rangnick, and it’s evident that he respects the Brazilian.
Luke Shaw has been doing well, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Telles returned to the starting lineup shortly.
