Manchester United fans are stunned by Zidane Iqbal’s talent against Melbourne Victory.
Zidane Iqbal of Manchester United impressed again after coming off the bench against Melbourne Victory.
Manchester United fans were gushing about the potential of teenage midfielder Zidane Iqbal after he impressed when he came off the bench against Melbourne Victory on Friday.
Reds manager Erik ten Hag made twelve changes at the half-time interval at Melbourne Cricket Ground, just as he did against Liverpool in Thailand on Tuesday, in order to give every member of his squad as many minutes as possible. The multitude of changes at halftime meant that several teenagers, including Ethan Laird, Charlie Savage, Tahith Chong, and Iqbal, stepped into the fold.
And it was the latter who drew my attention within minutes of his appearance. The midfielder, who just signed a new deal at Old Trafford, wanted the ball at his feet as much as possible when playing with Savage.
Iqbal was confident and collected in possession, like he had been against Liverpool, and produced a magnificent piece of skill to spin away from Chris Ikonomidis, who had given Melbourne an early lead after only five minutes.
