Chelsea’s open training session at Stamford Bridge did not include N’Golo Kante, Christian Pulisic, or Hakim Ziyech.

Kante and Pulisic are both doubts for Chelsea‘s match against Arsenal at the weekend after failing to report to the club’s open training session at Cobham on Thursday.

Fans gathered at the training field were unable to view the two players as injury fears rise ahead of the weekend’s London derby against Tottenham.

Kante was absent from Chelsea’s season-opening match against Crystal Palace on Saturday and has yet to recover from ankle pain. Also in the mix may be Pulisic, who netted his second goal in the 3-0 victory, who could be subjected to a late fitness examination.

Additionally, Hakim Ziyech is yet to return to training following his injury in the UEFA Super Cup final victory against Villarreal.

After scoring Chelsea’s lone goal in that game, the Moroccan was forced to leave the field with a shoulder injury just before the teams walked into their respective dressing rooms at half-time.

Not all is doom and gloom, as supporters were delighted to the sight of Romelu Lukaku in Chelsea colors for the first time since his transfer from Manchester United in 2013.

Even though the Belgian completed his £97.5million transfer to west London nearly a week ago, he was only able to practice with the first team for the first time yesterday after being forced to self-isolate for an extended length of time as a result of Covid protocol.

Thomas Tuchel revealed that Romelu Lukaku, the 28-year-old club record acquisition, may make his second Chelsea debut against Arsenal on Sunday. Tuchel spoke before the conclusion of the Belgian quarantine period.

“We anticipate Romelu to leave quarantine in time to be able to resume team training on Tuesday; Monday is a day off for us,” Tuchel explained. In order to prepare him for the match against Arsenal, we will attempt to get him on the field as soon as possible.

Concerning the Injury to Nkolo Kante

After suffering an injury during Chelsea’s Premier League match against Crystal Palace, Thomas Tuchel has stated that N’Golo Kante will return to training this week and should be ready for selection against Arsenal. The French international had been sidelined for the match.

However, the midfielder was ruled out of the match against Villarreal in the Super Cup and will miss the first match versus Palace.

According to football.london, Tuchel stated that Kante will return to the team this week following the Premier League’s opening day.

“He felt it in the warm-up for the Super Cup match against Villarreal, and he played with a little bit of pain, but he overcame it,” he explained. We decided to take responsibility and take him out to make sure he didn’t put himself in any danger again the following day.

After receiving a lift from the news that Arsenal duo Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are both doubts for the encounter against Chelsea this Saturday, the Blues have received another boost.

While the Blues opened the season with a 3-0 victory against Crystal Palace, the Gunners began the season by falling to newly-promoted Brentford 2-0 in their season opener.

Chelsea will be seeking to pick up their second victory of the season when they go to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday. The return of N’Golo Kante will be a major help for Tuchel’s side, who are looking to mount a championship challenge this season.
