Fernando Santos, Portugal’s national coach, has referred for the first time on Monday to the defiant attitude shown by Cristiano Ronaldo when he was substituted last Friday in the Portugal-South Korea match that closed the group stage of the World Cup.

In the press conference prior to the clash that the Portuguese team plays this Tuesday against Switzerland, corresponding to the round of 16, the coach has shown his deep discomfort for the attitude of the captain of Portugal.
“The truth is that on the field I didn’t have the chance to hear anything he said,” Santos explained. “But then I saw the images on television and I didn’t like them at all, not at all,” he said emphatically.
