Revealed – Erik ten Hag ‘holds talks’ with Man Utd transfer target Adrien Rabiot over summer move

The 28-year-old Frenchman has been on United’s radar for some time, with United bowing out of a deal for him last summer due to his high wage demands.

However, Ten Hag appears to be resuming his chase towards the end of the season, according to claims that he has spoken personally with the player.

Indeed, Rabiot is anticipated to attract interest from a number of teams this summer, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season and United seemingly eager to take advantage of his free agency status.

While Ten Hag apparently has been laying the foundation to encourage him to choose Old Trafford.

According to the French newspaper L’Equipe, Ten Hag has spoken with Rabiot about a possible move, with the club looking for midfielders.

The France international is having his greatest season in Serie A, scoring 11 goals in all competitions for the Italian giants.

Rabiot has already declared his desire to play in the Premier League, feeling he is ideally suited to the league’s style, which bodes well for Ten Hag.

“I don’t have a favorite team, and there isn’t really a club where I’d necessarily like to play,” Rabiot said during the World Cup in Qatar.

‘It is above the rest of the league, and that is what draws me in. I also believe that the style of play there better suits my abilities.”

Only time will tell whether Ten Hag is able to get Rabiot, with Newcastle also apparently keen, but a player of his caliber would be a valuable addition at Old Trafford.
