Return Date Announced – Man United injury update: Hojlund and Maguire plus three others latest return dates

Manchester United is desperately hoping that their biggest injury problem would be resolved shortly.

Rasmus Hojlund’s presence up front is much needed after the weekend’s 2-0 loss to Tottenham, which revealed United’s lack of punch in his absence.

Hojlund teased an impending return to fitness in an update to fans ahead of the game.

Harry Maguire, Tyrell Malacia, Amad Diallo, and Kobbie Mainoo all missed Spurs’ defeat due to injuries.

  1. Rasmus Hojlund

Hojlund, 20, is currently working his way back to match readiness on the training field after missing all of the preseason due to a back ailment.

On Friday, he posted a picture of a recent training with the phrase “soon” and hinted at a possible debut as soon as next weekend’s match against Nottingham Forest.

Erik ten Hag, on the other hand, has not stated that Hojlund is ready to play.

2. Harry Maguire,

Ten Hag stated that United left Maguire at home for the trip to Tottenham due to a minor injury, not his transfer future.

“Harry picked up a minor issue yesterday in the final training session, so he couldn’t travel with us,” he explained to MUTV.

3. Tyrell Malacia

Malacia missed the preseason and the first few weeks of the season due to an unspecified ailment from last season.

Ten Hag stated earlier this month that the Dutch defender’s problem “will take some time” to resolve.

4. Kobbie Mainoo

Mainoo, a teenage midfielder, will return from an ankle injury suffered against Real Madrid in the preseason by late October at the latest.

Ten Hag stated last week, “I think he will be available in two months, for winter is coming up, he will absolutely have his games.”

5. Amad Diallo

Amad, like Mainoo, is sidelined for the “first part” of the season after suffering a knee injury during the pre-season tour of the United States.

“I feared the worst, nothing serious,” the winger revealed after leaving the friendly against Arsenal on crutches. “I’ll be back soon.”
