Not Amad or Sancho – Man Utd may end five Old Trafford careers with Mason Greenwood ‘agreement’

Manchester United's investigation into Mason Greenwood has concluded, and the results may be terrible news for five players.

If Manchester United agrees to allow Mason Greenwood to rejoin Erik ten Hag’s team, five Old Trafford futures will be jeopardized. The Red Devils have apparently completed their probe into Greenwood’s future, which might have far-reaching consequences for a number of celebrities.

Express Sport investigates five Manchester United players for whom the 21-year-old’s return would be disastrous.

Sancho Jadon

Jadon Sancho has had another successful pre-season, this time as a winger and centrally as the false nine.

Ten Hag’s striker options are Rasmus Hojlund and Anthony Martial, while Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho compete on the left.

It might leave Sancho ready for more minutes on the right side this term, where Antony is the preferred option.

If Greenwood is added to the mix, Sancho may slide farther down the pecking order if he doesn’t establish himself early on.

Diallo, Amad

Amad Diallo was one of the most talked-about players among Manchester United fans ahead of the start of the season.

Last season, the 21-year-old prospered on loan at Sunderland and appeared prepared to fight for a first-team spot at Old Trafford.

Amad, on the other hand, sustained an injury during pre-season, making his goal of breaking into Ten Hag’s plans much more difficult.

If he is loaned out again and Greenwood is a well-known name when he returns, his career may be better served elsewhere.

Fabien Pellistri

Facundo Pellistri is in the same boat. He is also a right-winger. Also 21. And he arrived the same summer that Amad did.

Pellistri has impressed in pre-season, as he did during Ten Hag’s debut season, although he is slated to move on loan in the coming weeks.

The Uruguay international is apparently in negotiations with M16 about a contract extension, but Greenwood’s return may cause a change of heart.

Charlie McNeill and Joe Hugill

With only Hojlund and Martial as natural strikers at Ten Hag’s disposal to begin the season, this appears to be a fantastic opportunity for the next Marcus Rashford to emerge.

After appearing in pre-season, Joe Hugill and Charlie McNeill are the strongest candidates to make the step up.

Greenwood, on the other hand, is a similar age and would be a considerably more established alternative if he rediscovers his best form.

Both may go out on loan again this season after spells at Altrincham and Newport County, although they may find their routes to regular senior minutes obstructed.
