Manchester United chief Erik ten Hag is reportedly plotting a nearly £200million double deal to lure Jude Bellingham and Frenkie de Jong to Old Trafford next summer.

The Old Trafford chief is set to be heavily backed in the summer as he attempts to become the Red Devils’ Premier League championship challengers again.

And, according to The Sun, the Dutchman is desperate to put United in the running to bring England star Bellingham back to his nation from Borussia Dortmund.

Ten Hag will also try to persuade de Jong to return to the Premier League after failing to sign him from Barcelona when he took over at Old Trafford in July.

United’s manager has already spent around £230 million on revamping the Red Devils’ squad. Last summer, Lisandro Martinez, Christian Eriksen, Antony, Tyrell Malacia, and Casemiro all arrived.

Ten Hag’s January objectives include Benfica attacker Goncalo Ramos and PSV winger Cody Gapko. Indeed, United is attempting to compensate for Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure.

However, United expects to do the majority of its business next summer.

Given Liverpool’s interest, the Red Devils will face a difficult battle in luring Bellingham.

Anfield had long been considered Bellingham’s most likely destination, with Jurgen Klopp a major admirer of the midfielder’s abilities.

Real Madrid is also interested in signing the 19-year-old, who shone for England at the World Cup and is valued at £130 million.

De Jong, on the other hand, is anticipated to cost more than £60 million to sign.

However, a huge question remains in terms of the £17 million in payments De Jong alleges Barca still owes him. That was the primary reason he did not join United last summer.

If United can sign one of Ramos or Gakpo in January and then Bellingham and De Jong next summer, they will undoubtedly become the challenger’s Ten Hag desires.
