Fabrizio: Man Utd in ‘concrete talks’ to sign £34m star, Erik ten Hag ‘pushing’ club to secure deal

Manchester United are in 'solid talks' with Bayern Munich to recruit Benjamin Pavard, according to noted journalist Florian Plettenberg.

The Red Devils have agreed in principle to trade Harry Maguire to West Ham United, and they are now searching the transfer market for a suitable replacement.

According to Plettenberg, Man United boss Erik ten Hag is keen on signing Pavard because to his versatility. Currently, all sides are working on a verbal agreement.

Excellent quality
Maguire is on the verge of leaving Manchester United. His departure should free up funds for the club to spend on a fourth center-back to compete with Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez, and Victor Lindelof.

Pavard is ten Hag’s preferred character, which is understandable given his versatility. He began his career in center defense but has spent the majority of his time at Munich at right back.

The £34 million man is a fantastic ball-playing defender who also likes to make tackles on a regular basis. The 27-year-old has also been effective in winning ground and aerial duels and would be an excellent addition to United’s roster.

United has been a staunch supporter of Ten Hag during the summer transfer season, and they will work hard to get Pavard’s signature as soon as possible. After Mason Mount, Andre Onana, and Rasmus Hojlund, Pavard might be United’s fourth signing.

After Pavard, United may make at least one more signing, with various midfield exits being discussed. In the previous few days, Fred, Donny van de Beek, and Scott McTominay have all been connected with departures.

If two of them leave in the coming weeks, ten Hag may be looking for another midfielder. After signing Mount to offer additional creativity, a holding midfielder may be the aim.

United have been fantastic with their transfer business thus far, and they now appear to be good value to fight for the Premier League title next season, thanks to the additional talent added to the first-team squad this summer.
