Man Utd ready to offload £130m pair in January while Barca eye Premier League winger

You may be wondering why Italian football transfer specialist Rudy Galetti has the inside track on Manchester United deals, but we are only relaying the gossip and hope you enjoy it. On Tuesday evening, he said the following on Twitter: #Maguire and #Fred may depart #MUFC this summer:

Some clubs have inquired about the center-back; for the midfielder, contract renewal is becoming increasingly complicated, and he may depart as a free agent at the conclusion of the season. 🐓⚽️ #Transfers

So, some European clubs have inquired about Maguire; possibly Galetti is aware of this because clubs in Italy have done so. It would make sense for the Manchester United player to join a slower league. In the case of Fred, the club has the option to extend his contract for another year, and the club’s approach in the past – which was not always correct – was to exercise that option in order to ‘guard the asset.’

It’s safe to say that neither Maguire nor Fred is in Erik ten Hag’s starting XI.

BARCA DESIRES ZAHA

He is available for free in the summer (he is on this list of the 20 finest footballers available on free transfers in 2023), which implies he is a must-sign for almost every major club in Europe. And they don’t get much bigger than Barcelona, who are reportedly interested in the Crystal Palace winger despite being turned off by his exorbitant asking price.

According to SPORT, he has been offered to Barcelona and the club is very interested in him as a replacement for Memphis Depay. We also expect Tottenham, Chelsea, and Arsenal to be interested in Zaha, so it may all come down to whether Zaha wants to stay in London or go on an adventure.

THE REAL MADRID LIST EXTENDS

Real Madrid is concerned that they do not have enough firepower after falling five points behind Barcelona in La Liga. We’d wager that after losing 3-2 to Rayo Vallecano, the issue is at the opposite end of the field, but what do we know? However, without the injured Karim Benzema, they don’t have anyone to lead the line.

According to SPORT, their list of solutions begins with Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe, but those two are unattainable. So, who will be next on the list? Apparently, Victor Osimhen and Rafael Leao.

This gets us neatly to claims from Fabrizio Romano and then Galetti that Chelsea, Manchester City, and PSG are all keen on signing the Portuguese winger. And, yeah, he is mostly a winger, so we’re not sure why Real Madrid believes he can replace Benzema.
