But, according to Fabrizio Romano of GiveMeSport, the Glazers aren’t trying to sign either player right now.
“What we can say is that, with the Glazers, this is absolutely not a topic,” he explained.
“For sure, they’re not working on that or Neymar because we know the Glazers are going in a different direction.”
As discussion of buyout proceeds, the Glazers are largely likely to quit United.
Sheikh Jassim’s clarification
With United interested in Mount, several have speculated on who will foot the cost for the Chelsea star.
However, Express Sport knows that it is not Sheikh Jassim.
Instead, it looks like the Glazers are digging into United’s immense fortune to get a deal done.
So far, Chelsea has requested three proposals for Mount, with the Blues seeking £65 million to authorize his exit.
United, on the other hand, does not want to go that high and believes its competitors are being unreasonable.
