The Red Devils made strides under Erik Ten Hag this season, finishing in the top four and returning to the Champions League, but there is still one item on the agenda. United meet City in the FA Cup final this weekend, and a win not only gives them a cup double but also denies City a chance at the treble, with Pep Guardiola’s side still needing to play in the Champions League final.

We’ve compiled all the latest Old Trafford news ahead of this weekend’s final.

Mount pursuit
United is thought to be hopeful of luring Chelsea star Mason Mount away from Arsenal and Liverpool.

According to The Telegraph, Erik ten Hag is pressing the Red Devils to recruit Mount, who could be released by Chelsea this summer due to the club’s bloated squad at Stamford Bridge. However, it has been reported that Chelsea could expect up to £85 million to sell Mount, which could put a dent in United’s spending plans if a deal is struck.

Mount’s Chelsea contract expires in a year, so a deal might be struck for less. The intensity of Premier League interest, which will undoubtedly drive up the price, could be a hurdle in any discussions.

Kane, Harry
Man United may have to wait to get Tottenham star and rumored target Harry Kane.

Kane has been extensively linked with a move to Old Trafford, but Football London’s Alistair Gold believes Kane will remain at the club.

“The current feeling within the club at this early stage is that Kane is less likely to leave this summer and will instead give Spurs at least one season before the power falls back into his hands with his contract situation,” Gold wrote.
