The Red Devils and their adversaries Chelsea are one of the clubs interested in signing the Serbian international.

This summer, United are looking for a striker. Due to financial constraints, they have already dropped their interest in Harry Kane. Rasmus Hojlund of Atalanta and Randal Kolo Muani of Frankfurt are both on their radar.

As excellent as Vlahovic is as a striker, and he has demonstrated his abilities while playing for a dismal Juventus side, a price tag that high may dissuade United from converting their interest into a transfer bid.

If they wanted to spend €80 million on a striker, they could have paid a few million more and pursued Kane. Doesn’t that make sense? There’s no telling whether the Serbia international (23) will be a success in the Premier League as well.

One thing is certain: the team will need to sign a number nine this summer. Relying on Anthony Martial would be naïve, and putting all of the scoring pressure on Marcus Rashford may wear him down.

The price tag for Vlahovic suggests that they are unlikely to sign the Serbian. Kane has already been ruled out. Is it now a contest between Hojlund and Kolo Muani? Most likely.

Both are very skilled young strikers who contribute significantly to their respective clubs. Hojlund is more of a number nine who can intimidate opponents with pace and physicality, whilst Kolo Muani possesses the speed and positional versatility to operate on the flank and hurt opposing defenses from wide areas if necessary.
