‘I’d move him on quickly…’ – Roy Keane savaged one Man Utd player after 2-1 win vs Fulham

After witnessing Manchester United teammates congratulate David de Gea on winning the Premier League's Golden Glove award, Roy Keane could not hold back.

Following Man Utd’s final Premier League match of the season on Sunday, De Gea and his colleagues posed for photos with the championship trophy.

With a 2-1 victory over Fulham, the Red Devils moved up to third place in the standings. Since arriving in England from Atletico Madrid in 2011, De Gea has only saved six Premier League penalties (out of a possible 39).

In the match between Man Utd and Fulham, David de Gea brilliantly saves a penalty.

According to reports, De Gea and Man Utd are about to agree to an extension of his contract. This summer, the 32-year-old’s current contract will end.

Some United supporters, meanwhile, think it would be best for the team if De Gea were to be replaced this summer with a new first-choice keeper.

What was said about David de Gea by Roy Keane?
During an interview with Sky Sports on Sunday night, former Manchester United captain Roy Keane made it abundantly apparent that he agrees with that viewpoint.

De Gea wouldn’t be for me, therefore I’d get rid of him immediately, the Irishman remarked. “He won’t bring Man United back to winning trophies, not at all.

It’s absurd that everyone would want to pat him on the head.

When asked if he would keep De Gea at the club by Micah Richards, Keane replied, “No, but you wouldn’t keep him as a number two, would you? He has held the top spot for approximately ten years.

Keane disagreed when Richards claimed that De Gea had performed admirably for Manchester United in the past: “I don’t think so. I believe he did okay.

De Gea has won United’s Player of the Year award four times, which Richards brought up. Keane responded, “Yeah, listen, the big deal is that. What the team is accomplishing is what matters. He has, in my opinion, erred far too often in recent years.

A few years ago, he was attempting to leave the club. He attempted to join Real Madrid!”

Those are some very scathing remarks on Manchester United’s longest-tenured player, even by Keane’s standards.
