Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported that the move includes an option for Eintracht Frankfurt to make the transfer permanent, with a loan fee paid to Manchester United.

The non-mandatory purchase option is estimated to cost Frankfurt around €15 million.

Van de Beek, who had joined United with high expectations after an impressive stint with Ajax under Ten Hag, has struggled to meet those expectations.

Despite a promising debut goal, his time at Old Trafford has been marked by disappointment.

Hopes for a revival under Ten Hag’s management did not materialize, and the 26-year-old’s stock at United has declined further.

An earlier knee injury and a failed loan move to Lorient have limited his playing time, with only two substitute appearances this season, totaling 21 minutes.

Reports of advanced talks with Eintracht Frankfurt emerged, indicating Van de Beek’s eagerness for a move.

Initial concerns regarding wages created a hurdle, but according to Romano, the issues have been resolved, confirming the impending move.

Van de Beek’s contract with Manchester United runs until the summer of 2025, with an option for an additional 12 months.

While the buy option for Eintracht Frankfurt is not obligatory, the loan move provides an opportunity for Van de Beek to revive his career and potentially secure a permanent exit in the summer, putting him in the shop window for potential suitors.
