“How on Earth was that a Red Card” – Getafe manager Jose Bordalas blasted ref. as He revealed what Greenwood said to the referee which led to the forward’s red card.

The match took a dramatic turn for Getafe as they ended up with only nine players on the field. Juanmi Latasa received two yellow cards in the first half, and Greenwood was handed a straight red card in the 50th minute.

Greenwood’s dismissal seemed to be connected to something he said to referee Jorge Figueroa. Getafe manager Bordalas shed light on the incident in his post-match comments.

Bordalas stated, “The player told me that he said ‘don’t f*** with me,’ only that. It was in frustration but at no point has he insulted anybody.”

Continuing, Bordalas explained, “It was a comment, ‘don’t f*** with me, why won’t you blow (the whistle).'”

Greenwood, on a season-long loan from Manchester United, has been enjoying his time in Spain. Recent reports suggest that La Liga giants Barcelona are keen on signing the 22-year-old forward.

According to The Sun, Barcelona is actively pursuing Greenwood, considering him a strong addition to their squad.

Scouts have evaluated Greenwood to assess his compatibility with Barcelona’s style of play, and the consensus is positive.
