HERE WE GO: Fabrizio Romano revealed £100m player told club to accept Manchester United’s offer – ‘He’s really pushing’
£100m-highly-rated Manchester United target Antony is trying to force a transfer from Ajax to Old Trafford, according to Fabrizio Romano in a recent YouTube video. The transfer expert explained that the young winger is “really pushing” to make the transfer a reality, but admitted that Ajax are unwilling to let him go, having recently turned down a huge offer.
“Manchester United are now focused on a new winger.
“In the case of Antony, I have been told that the player wants to leave. The player wants to leave Manchester United. He is pushing for this move. That’s why he didn’t train with the team on Friday, but only on the training pitch in the gym.
“Antony told Ajax with his agents that he wanted Manchester United’s proposal to be discussed; Ajax said “no” to an offer of 80 million euros (£68 million). Antony is pushing for talks between the two clubs.
“Manchester United, what are they doing? They’re still here, they’re going to try for Antony in case Ajax change their position, but at the same time they’re keeping in touch with Cody Gakpo’s agents – he’s a cheaper option.”
“So Gakpo and Antony are two separate deals that Manchester United are discussing, because they want to prepare for next week, when there will be some crazy stuff on the market.”
As Antony has shown throughout his short career so far, he is a fantastic player. Nothing proves that better than his run in the Eredivisie already this season, with a goal and two assists in just two games, and some magical performances to go with those impressive stats.
