Possible Reunion

Gravenberch established his reputation at Ajax under Erik ten Hag and will now join Bayern Munich. The Dutch midfielder came via the Ajax academy and was promoted to the senior team for the 2020/21 season after impressing for Ajax’s second team Jong Ajax.

Gravenberch made 47 appearances in all competitions in his first season with the first team, and 42 more in his second. He contributed the occasional goal from midfield, scoring five in his debut season but only three the following year.

Ryan Gravenberch appears to be the newest diamond to emerge from the illustrious Ajax development system. Some saw his potential in 2018, when he was a member of Holland’s European U-17 Championship-winning team and got the Ajax Talent of the Future Award.

Manchester United’s Midfield Targets

Based on the club’s recruitment activities, it’s evident that Manchester United is looking for a midfielder as the first piece in Ten Hag’s puzzle. Although the Dutch manager was unable to persuade Ajax starlet Gravenberch to join the club, they have set their sights on completing a deal for Barcelona player Frenkie de Jong, who rose to fame with Ajax.
