The Mail claimed earlier this week that Barcelona is open to offers for Ansu Fati, adding that “Manchester United and Wolves have been credited with an interest in recent months.”

According to Mundo Deportivo, Ansu Fati wants to stay in Barcelona. It’s a replay of last summer’s Frenkie de Jong predicament, with the La Liga club needing to generate finances.

Fati has a particular talent, according to his agent Jorge Mendes, who is usually at the heart of transfer maneuvers.

‘Ansu Fati nominated for Ballon d’Or’
According to Goal, Jorge Mendes feels the Barcelona teenager has the potential to win the world’s top individual prize.

“He wants to stay at Barca,” he remarked. He is Barcelona’s second-leading scorer. He has three goals in the last two games. “What else do you require?”

“You have a phenomenon on your hands.” He is one of the world’s best young players. You will see him win the Ballon d’Or.”

Fati, 20, has been linked with Manchester United in recent summers, but a move never seemed plausible.

Barcelona has always charged an exorbitant premium. Manchester United reportedly bid £130 million for the winger in 2021, according to the Mirror, although this always felt speculative rather than grounded in truth.

Fati is coming back from a serious knee injury and spent much of last season on the bench. Last season, he still managed to score 10 goals across all competitions.

If Manchester United can obtain him at a low cost, it could be a good bargain, but his position is not a high priority for the Red Devils.

The striker, goalkeeper, midfielder, and center-back are all anticipated to be addressed, leaving no finances for Fati – which appears to suit the winger.
