“Let me say” – Fabrizio Romano shares Man United transfer claim amid “final days of the week”

Rasmus Hojlund is expected to have a "new attack" for Manchester United.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United is expected to make an enhanced “new attack” in the deal for Rasmus Hojlund by the end of this week in order to fight off interest from Paris Saint-Germain and finalize a transfer.

Is Hojlund about to join Manchester United?

As another week in the transfer market comes to an end, Manchester United fans are still waiting to celebrate the arrival of a new number nine. They are aware that it will almost definitely be Hojlund, but the Red Devils have yet to reach an agreement with Atalanta on the young striker.

Man United have already made a proposal to La Dea totaling €50 million (£43 million) plus €10 million (£8.5 million) in add-ons, but Atalanta have always demanded a greater sum, which Romano claims is approximately €70 million.

Personal terms are thought to have been agreed between Man United and Hojlund, and the striker is extremely keen on a dream move to Old Trafford following a fantastic breakout season in Serie A.

Erik ten Hag, on the other hand, will be slightly concerned by the news that PSG has filed their first proposal. While their starting bid of €50 million is less than Man United’s and less than Atalanta’s asking price, the French champions are not afraid to spend significant money on new players and blast the competition out of the water.

As a result of PSG’s interest, Manchester United are planning a new attempt for Hojlund and, according to transfer analyst Romano, will launch a “new attack” on the transaction, with an improved offer.

According to Romano’s YouTube channel:

“Keep an eye on Rasmus Hojlund in these final days of the week, in these final crucial days of the week, because after the verifiable bid of €50 million plus €10 million in add-ons submitted a few days ago, Man United by the end of the week, could be today, could be Saturday, but Man United are preparing a new attack for the Rasmus Hojlund deal.”

“New round of talks, but Manchester United is being very, very aggressive in this negotiation right now.” They are aware that PSG made an offer to Atalanta, but they are also aware that the player wishes to join Manchester United, and that it is now time to re-attack the situation and try to achieve an agreement with Atalanta.

“Manchester United believes they have a match point in the Hojlund story.” This is a critical juncture. We anticipate that Manchester United will improve their proposal and try to achieve a definitive agreement with Atalanta as soon as possible, but the closing days of the week will be critical.

“United are upbeat. United and the player have reached an arrangement. Hojlund wishes to join Manchester United. So, yes, PSG made a bid, but Hojlund is infatuated with United.”

Hojlund’s willingness to join Manchester United over PSG means that, if a fee has been agreed upon with Atalanta, the transfer should be quite straightforward, and PSG’s attempts to hijack a deal will most likely fail.

Following his arrival from Sturm Graz, the 20-year-old scored nine goals and registered four assists in Serie A last season, and he has also scored six goals in six appearances for Denmark. The swift, powerful 6ft2 centre-forward appears to be a promising Premier League acquisition, and Ten Hag will want him at Old Trafford as soon as possible to get him up to speed.

When is the next match for Manchester United?

Having played five friendlies already this summer, the Red Devils are obviously not lacking in match fitness despite their rigorous pre-season schedule.

The Red Devils have now lost two games in a row after beating Leeds United and Arsenal 2-0 each, with a 1-0 triumph against Lyon wedged in between.

The first setback, a 3-1 loss to League Two side Wrexham, could be explained by the fact that Man United’s team was nearly completely made up of youth team players. The second defeat, a 2-0 loss to Real Madrid, was less forgivable, with goals from previous transfer target Jude Bellingham and former Stoke City striker Joselu.

Ten Hag has three more pre-season matches to make amends. In the early hours of Monday, July 31, the Red Devils will face Borussia Dortmund.

Man United then returns to Old Trafford to play RC Lens before heading to Ireland to face Athletic Bilbao on August 6, just a day after their meeting with the French club.
