On Sunday, all eyes will be on the team sheet at Old Trafford. Manchester United welcomes league leaders and the Premier League’s only club with a perfect record, Arsenal, to Old Trafford.

Arsenal will try to retain their unbeaten start to the season with a win over Erik ten Hag’s side, but it will not be as easy as it appeared earlier in the season when United was suffering. After losing to Brighton and Brentford to begin the season, United has won back-to-back 1-0 games after defeating Liverpool 2-1.

Casemiro, who has been on the bench for the last two games since joining United from Real Madrid, might make his complete debut. Antony, on the other hand, will be trying to make his debut as well.

The frontman, purchased for a large fee from Ten Hag’s former club Ajax, was the Red Devils’ flagship addition this summer. They had to wait for him, eventually sealing the transaction before the transfer window closed, after much wrangling between the two clubs.

If Antony is in the team, it will be a new challenge for Arsenal, and Ten Hag was questioned whether the Brazilian would be thrust right into the starting XI during his pre-match press conference. He stated: “He did his first individual training today [Thursday]. We have a team practice tomorrow and another on Saturday, so I’ll think about it and then we’ll make a decision.”

Ten Hag kept his cards close to his chest rather than divulging Antony’s role, but he did disclose United would be without a forward against Arsenal.

He continued: “Anthony Martial will not play on Sunday. I’m not sure when he’ll be available again. When I think of Luke Shaw and Aaron [Wan-Bissaka], it’s impossible to say.”

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will be without Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny for the match, while Oleksandr Zinchenko has not returned to training with the club.
