After Manchester United terminated his loan deal, Reguilon returned to Spurs in January, prompting the club to seek another loan arrangement for him.

While previously linked with Borussia Dortmund and AS Roma, Brentford has emerged as the frontrunner for his signature.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the imminent completion of the deal with his signature ‘here we go’ update.

The green light for the move was given following a verbal agreement between the two clubs. The deal is a pure loan move, without an option to buy clause.

The medical tests are scheduled for Wednesday, and the signing is expected to be officially announced thereafter.

“Sergio Reguilón to Brentford, here we go! Final green light just arrived after verbal agreement between clubs. Loan move with NO option to buy clause as Sergio will be back to Tottenham at the end of the season. Medical tests on Wednesday. Exclusive story, confirmed.”

Reguilon joins the list of departures from Tottenham in this transfer window, following the exits of Hugo Lloris and Eric Dier.

Spurs are reportedly open to moving Ryan Sessegnon and Bryan Gil as well, with indications that they are willing to consider offers for the duo.

Despite the outgoings, Tottenham has been active in the transfer market, securing two signings. It is rumored that they are eyeing a midfielder as well, contingent on resolving further outgoing transfers.
