Fabrizio – 7th Medical Completed: Ten hag very happy after Man United Target Completes Medical at Carrington

Over the last week or two, speculation of a new goalkeeper arriving at Old Trafford has increased. A backup for David de Gea is required, and the team appears to have found one. According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United target, Martin Dubravka has completed his medical at Carrington ahead of his move from Newcastle United.

Dubravka Is Getting Ready
Several names were called through the wheelhouse without success. The Red Devils already have Tom Heaton as their number two goalkeeper, so the chase of another shot-stopper makes sense. Dean Henderson has impressed on loan at Nottingham Forest so far, saving penalties from two of his countrymen, Declan Rice and Harry Kane.

One Manchester United target is nearing the end of their contract. Where Kevin Trapp failed, it appears that Martin Dubravka will not. “Martin Dubravka has just arrived in Manchester to undergo medical testing as a new Manchester United player – he’ll be at Carrington this afternoon to conduct medical examinations.” Their next game is a Thursday night trip to the King Power Stadium, where they will face a Leicester City side that is currently propping up the Premier League table.

Dubravka, who is leaving Newcastle United, will join on a “loan with a £5 million buy option.” It is unclear whether the club will seek to exercise the latter portion of the agreement. When his loan period ends, Henderson will be competing for the number one slot in Manchester, but he has already expressed his dissatisfaction with the situation and how it has been handled.

Manchester United is looking to add more players before the transfer window closes.
There are still deals to be done as the transfer deadline approaches. Manchester United appears to be interested in Dubravka as well. Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro are among those who have officially arrived, and Brazilian winger Antony is also on the way.

Slovakian international Dubravka is expected to back up incumbent David De Gea, who is under pressure after a difficult start to the 2022/23 season. While the former Spain international is expected to remain in goal for the foreseeable future, it appears that the powers that be at Old Trafford have decided to bring in some seasoned competition for their number one.
