BREAKING NEWS: Premier League has just announced the shocking VAR Error By referees of Manchester United VS Tottenham- PGMOL
In Manchester United’s recent 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur, forward Alejandro Garnacho found himself denied a penalty claim after what he perceived as minimal contact during the match.
The Red Devils kicked off the game strongly, securing an early lead within three minutes with a powerful strike from Rasmus Hojlund. However, Spurs regrouped, and Richarlison’s flicked header leveled the score a quarter of an hour later.
Marcus Rashford’s expertly placed strike ensured United went into halftime ahead, but Rodrigo Bentancur’s goal shortly after the restart meant the points were ultimately shared.
Garnacho believed United had a chance to increase their lead in the first half when he felt he was pulled down by defender Destiny Udogie.
Referee John Brooks chose not to award a penalty, much to the frustration of the home fans.
In the post-match analysis on Ref Watch, former Premier League official Dermot Gallagher defended the referee’s decision, stating, “I didn’t think there was enough in it for there to be a penalty.
But as a defender, why would you do this? It doesn’t look right.”
However, United’s manager Erik ten Hag expressed a differing opinion, saying, “Yes. What can you do? But I am used to it, all season that is the case.
At Spurs, it was similar, a clear handball from [Cristian] Romero and I can list a number more. At some point, I think it will turn.”
