Agent Arrives & Medical Schedule – Manchester United €100 million new signing Agent arrives at Old Trafford and medical set

Man United have verbally agreed to a €100 million deal for Ajax winger Antony.

Manchester United and Ajax have reached a verbal deal of €100 million (£84 million) for the signing of Antony, 90 minutes can disclose.

The Red Devils have been trying to reunite Erik ten Hag with the 22-year-old for the whole summer, but have been unable to reach an agreement with the Eredivisie giants.

Ajax had rejected three proposals from United, the most recent of which was worth roughly €90 million, but 90min hears that a breakthrough has been reached in negotiations between the two clubs, with Antony now moving in on the move to Old Trafford that he has always desired.

Antony was left out of Ajax’s squad to face Utrecht on Sunday, and manager Alfred Schreuder stated in his pre-match interview that ‘nothing had changed in negotiations between the two clubs, implying that United had not offered to pay the club-record amount sought by the Amsterdam-based giants.

But United hasn’t given up on Antony, with Ten Hag stating that signing the Brazilian is his first priority, and sources have confirmed to 90min that a verbal agreement has been struck with Ajax, albeit a few specifics remain to be worked out. United now has less than a week before the summer transfer window ends to finalize a deal.

Antony’s arrival would be a significant boost for United, who have appeared short of quality in a lot of places despite putting a dismal start to the Premier League season behind them with back-to-back wins over Liverpool and Southampton.

That was underscored in the 4-0 defeat at Brentford, where Ten Hag forced his team to run the additional 14km that Thomas Frank’s side covered in west London in training. The Dutchman did, however, join in, earning the respect of the dressing room.
