3 Things Ronaldo Did In Training Recently That Has Led To Erik Ten Hag Agreeing To Let Him Leave Old Trafford
According to a report from the Athletic, embattled Manchester United manager, Erik Ten Hag is now willing to allow star striker, Christiano Ronaldo leave Old Trafford.
Despite previously insisting that the 5-time Champions League winner was part of his plans and not for sale despite the player wanting to leave, there are indications that the Dutchman has finally had a change of heart and is willing to Ronaldo go.
What led to Erik Ten Hag’s sudden U-turn? Well, sources close to the club say the 37-year-old has been behaving in certain ways that the manager has found to be unhealthy for the team and would be detrimental to the squad if allowed to linger for too long.
For starters, the report claims that since Ronaldo returned to the team, there have been days when the player sits by himself during lunch at the club’s canteen at their Carrington training ground.
Secondly, it is said that the star player often flaps his hands negatively during training sessions, expressing his displeasure at the high-press approach Ten Hag demands from his team.
Thirdly, Ronaldo has also been caught having heated arguments with Ten Hag’s second-in-command, Steve McClaren. An act that was noticed by thousands of traveling fans on Saturday after the 4-0 loss to Brentford.

At this point, there is a general feeling at the club that Ronaldo’s sulky mood could affect the team negatively.
With no immediate replacement in the team, it is expected, however, that the board might not be in a hurry to terminate Ronaldo’s contract anytime soon.
