According to Yagz Sabuncuoglu, the Turkish international has left Fenerbahce and is expected to join Manchester United.
“Manchester United will pay Fenerbahçe 6 million euros for Altay Bayndr, plus the FIFA Solidarity Contribution, bringing the total to 7 million euros.”
Bayindir has appeared in 145 games for the Istanbul-based club. He appeared in four games this season, keeping two clean sheets and conceding two goals.
However, due to an uncertain future, the 5-cap international has been warming the bench in recent games.
Fenerbahce trounced Twente FC 5-1 in a UEFA Europa Conference League qualifier last night, and Egribayat was given the start in goal.
Bayindir is set to replace Dean Henderson as Manchester United’s backup goalkeeper. Crystal Palace are in talks with Manchester United to sign the England international (The Mail).
The 26-year-old has only made 29 professional games for Manchester United, and that scenario hasn’t changed since Onana’s arrival. As a result, Henderson must leave every week to play.
