On Monday night, Van Persie and United manager Erik ten Hag dined at Spinningfields’ Chinese restaurant Tattu with their agent Kees Vos.

Ten Hag, Van Persie, and Vos were spotted talking as they went through Manchester city center after a three-hour dinner.

Van Persie, who is Feyenoord’s assistant coach, is said to be spending time at United’s Carrington training complex as he prepares for a possible career in management.

According to United insiders, Van Persie is not being considered for a position on their coaching staff, and Ten Hag is merely aiding a club friend with his career growth.

Mitchell van der Gaag and Steve McClaren help Ten Hag, and performance analyst Kevin Keij followed Ten Hag from Ajax to United.

Van Persie joined United from Arsenal in a £24 million transaction in 2012, and his 26 Premier League goals that season were crucial in United’s last title win.

The Dutchman spent three seasons with United, scoring 58 goals in 105 games before leaving a year before his contract expired to join Fenerbahce.

The former Arsenal striker returned to Old Trafford in 2016 and received a standing ovation after scoring for Fenerbahce in a 4-1 Europa League defeat.

Van Persie is the last player in United history to score 30 goals in a single season.
