‘POOR VAR DECISION’ – MICHAEL OWEN’S VERDICT ON MANCHESTER UNITED V CRYSTAL PALACE CONTROVERSY
Michael Owen stated on PremierLeague.com that Manchester United's penalty in the first half against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford in the Premier League game on Saturday was correct.

After only seven minutes, Portuguese attacking midfielder Bruno Fernandes gave Erik ten Hag’s side the lead from the penalty spot.
On 62 minutes, English forward Marcus Rashford put the Red Devils up 2-0.
Casemiro, a Brazilian defensive midfielder, was sent off in the 70th minute.
On 76 minutes, the Eagles’ Jeffrey Schlupp found the back of the net.
United eventually won the game 2-1.
The penalty decision in favor of United versus Palace was contentious.
Rashford nipped the ball in from the left, and it struck Will Hughes’s flying arm.
Andre Marriner visited the Referee Review Area and issued a penalty following a suggestion from VAR Tony Harrington.
Fernandes made no mistakes right away.
Ultimately was a contentious decision, but it favored the home team.
And, as you can see in the video below, former Manchester United striker Owen feels it was the right move.
