Ten Hag favorite Included – Man Utd’s list of three Harry Maguire replacements as ‘concerns over defending’ emerge

Manchester United has not seen the best of Harry Maguire since his move from Leicester in the 2019 summer transfer window.

Manchester United is allegedly concerned about Harry Maguire and whether the England international is long-term enough for the club. Since joining from Leicester in the summer transfer window of 2019, the 30-year-old has struggled for consistency. As a result, a breakup at the end of the campaign cannot be completely ruled out.

According to ESPN, United are concerned about Maguire, who is failing to win the Erik ten Hag round.

The club is said to admire the 30-year-ball-old’s skills, but is concerned about his “tendency to rush out to win challenges.”

His lack of speed is also a concern for United, especially given Erik ten Hag’s desire to play at a faster pace than in past seasons.

With Maguire below Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez in the club’s pecking order, it’s probable he’ll be let go in the summer.

Express Sport looks at three players United may sign if their captain decides to leave Old Trafford.

Jurrien Timber

In the summer, United raided Ajax three times.

Ten Hag was the first to move from Amsterdam to Manchester, followed by Lisandro Martinez and Antony.

But United was also interested in Jurrien Timber, who was a top target for Ten Hag last summer.

The Red Devils ultimately lost out, with the center-back stating that staying in his homeland would be the greatest move for his career.

Nonetheless, United’s interest remains, and it’s feasible that the defender may be pursued once the transfer window reopens.

Kim Min-Jae

It’s no secret that Manchester United is interested in Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who has been on a tear this season.

Yet, Kim Min-Jae is another player from the Serie A giants who are still being linked with a move to Old Trafford.

The South Korean international has been instrumental in Napoli’s pursuit of a Scudetto and Champions League double.

Yet, with a release clause of only £44.1 million, he’d be a steal for any interested parties.

Given that United also wants Osimhen, they may have to choose between the two. Napoli doesn’t need the money right now, and it’s difficult to imagine them losing two of their finest players in the same transfer window.

Mr. Axel Disasi

It was recently revealed that United was interested in Monaco star Axel Disasi as they planned for the future.

This season, the 25-year-old has been excellent for the Ligue 1 giants, making 28 league appearances and contributing five goals.

United would have to pay around £44 million to sign the defender.

And he recently added fuel to the fire by stating he’d want to play in the Champions League.

Monaco is currently trying to qualify for that competition, placing fourth in the table behind Lens, Marseille, and Paris Saint-Germain.
